Description

The Willendorf Venus was found in the town of Willendorf (Austria) in 1908. The statue was made of limestone about 26,000 years ago. The figurine is about 11 cm high. There are all sorts of stories about this statue. Some say it was made by pregnant women as a self-portrait. Others say it was a statue ofthe  mother goddess. Most scientists agree that it was probably a figurine of fertility and prosperity. Fertility images were often dyed with redoker. The Venus of Willendorf was found in that color.

The color of this replica/reproduction may vary.
