Venus of Hohle Fels restored

The Venus of Hohle Fels was found in southern Germany in 2009. This venus figurine is made of ivory 35,000-40,000 years ago. The figure is 6 cm tall and has an eye so that it could be worn around the neck. Fertility images were often dyed with redoker. Most scientists agree that it was probably a figurine of fertility and prosperity. The extremely large breasts, buttocks and vulva point to it. Fertility images were often painted with red orchard.
